GAVIN CONROY has become the latest player to join Mike Grady’s North Wales Crusaders squad for the 2018 season.
Conroy, who played on the wing for Farnworth Halton Hornets last season, joins the Wrexham-based side with vast playing experience in the amateur game.
On signing for the Crusaders, Conroy said: “I’m delighted to be here and I’m happy to have been given the opportunity to step-up to this level.
“I’m looking forward to testing myself in League One and I am also grateful to both the club and Mike Grady for giving me this chance.
“I’ve had mates who have played here before and have spoken highly of both the club and the supporters – I can’t wait to get into pre-season in the next few weeks.”
North Wales Crusaders head coach Mike Grady said: “Gavin is a seasoned amateur with experience at Simms Cross, Widnes St Marie’s and stints with Pilkington Recs and Ryland Sharks.
“Crusaders have a good history of picking players out of the amateur game and helping them to succeed and I expect Gavin to take a similar path to the players who have made this step before him.
“He has fantastic ability and I’m sure he’ll play a vital role for the club next season.”
