NORTH WALES CRUSADERS will host Hunslet RLFC in the Kingstone Press League One Shield on Sunday afternoon.

With the league enjoying one of its most competitive seasons to date, Hunslet saw their ambitions of a finish in the top eight dashed, but they’ll now be looking to pickup silverware in the shape of the Kingstone Press League One Shield.
The visitors have enjoyed a perfect start to their Shield campaign so far winning their opening two games to put them top of the Shield table.
Whilst Hunslet will be looking to make it three wins in three games, the Crusaders know that Sunday’s clash is a must win game for their own Shield hopes.
Hunslet began the season with back-to-back victories over the All Golds and then Hemel Stags, however, they then suffered their first defeat of the season in round three as they lost 29-24 at the hands of Doncaster.
Having enjoyed some mixed form of victories and narrow defeats, Hunslet‘s first heavy defeat came in round ten as they went down 52-20 at the hands of York City Knights.
A 56-12 defeat to the Toronto Wolfpack followed that before they won two of their final three games – including a 26-25 victory over high flying Newcastle Thunder.
Having finished the regular season in 10th, Hunslet have now pushed on in the Shield their first two games ahead of Sunday’s clash.

George Flanagan – The hooker who joined Hunslet from Featherstone has crossed the whitewash 18 times already this season.
Entrance into Sunday’s game is priced at £10 adults, £5 concessions and free for under 16’s and members.
Car parking at the stadium is free with food and drink available inside the ground.
